Junior Techniques

For children from 5 – 7 years of age there is the Dragon award scheme. Tests are done in the club; each test passed enables a purple tag to be worn on the white belt. Once all 5 tests are completed a purple belt may be worn. Details of the tests are in the license book for Dragon members. There is also a help sheet available for those Japanese words (it might as well be a foreign language!). Please click here to access the help sheet.

These gradings take place within the club every 3 months and are assessed by the club coach. Members will be asked to demonstrate techniques according to their grade.

There is a grading fee of £5.00 which is sent to the Welsh Judo Association.

In order to take part you must be at least 8 years old and have a current WJA license.
