Competitions


Abergavenny Judo club is run by Paul Addis. Paul has been practising judo for over 25 years and is a 3rd Dan Black Belt. He is a qualified Club Coach (Level 2) of the British Judo Association. Paul has instructed multiple students to Black Belt standard as well as medal success at International level.


The Club teaches traditional judo skills and the latest competition techniques to both young and old, the energetic and the not so energetic!


The club has been established for over 30 years, it was first started by Mr. Terry Edmunds (6th Dan) and subsequently run by Mr. Derek Rose (1st Dan).

Classes will run from 1st Sept - 15th Dec 2017 Please note no judo on 8th Sept, 22nd Dec, 29th Dec 2017 & 5th Jan 2018


Spring Term

Classes will run from 12th Jan - 23rd Mar 2018 - no judo on 30th Mar (Good Friday)


Summer Term

Classes will run from 6th Apr - 27th July 2018 no judo during Aug 2018
