Competitions


Abergavenny Judo club is run by Paul Addis. Paul has been practising judo for over 25 years and is a 3rd Dan Black Belt. He is a qualified Club Coach (Level 2) of the British Judo Association. Paul has instructed multiple students to Black Belt standard as well as medal success at International level.


The Club teaches traditional judo skills and the latest competition techniques to both young and old, the energetic and the not so energetic!


The club has been established for over 30 years, it was first started by Mr. Terry Edmunds (6th Dan) and subsequently run by Mr. Derek Rose (1st Dan).

Spring Term

Classes will run from 11th Jan - 12th Apr 2019 - no judo on 19th Apr 2019 (Good Friday)


Summer Term

Classes will run from 26th Apr - 26th July 2019 No judo during Aug 2019
